When calling panic() or impossible(), create the option
of opening a browser window with most of the fields
already populated. Code for MacOS and linux is included;
other ports are affected by argument change to early_init
which are done but not tested.
To enable, define CRASHREPORT in config.h and set
CRASHREPORTURL in sysconf to (for the moment at least)
http[s]://www.nethack.org/common/contactcr.html
Adds --grep-defined option to makedefs for Makefiles.
Adds "bid" (binary identifier), an MD4 of the main nethack
binary. This is ONLY for helping (in the future) contact.html
to set the "NetHack from" field automatically for our own
binaries. This can be faked, but the user can lie so nothing
lost. There's nothing magic about MD4; other ports can use
anything that prodcues a long apparently random string we can
match against.
- new option --bidshow for us to get the MD4 of a
released binary so I can add it to the website.
Only available in wizard mode and not in nethack.6.
- typo macos -> macosx in hints file
No support for packaging builds as I'm not sure what that
would look like.
Adds a javascript helper for MacOS.
Adds a lua helper for linux (and builds and installs
nhlua).
Also includes support by paxed for polearm targeting using the
frame color.
Also renames USE_TILES to TILES_IN_GLYPHMAP which is a more
accurate description.
Not all window interfaces have full support for the color framing
of the background square yet.
MS-DOS needs further work (to bring it to both VESA and VGA, with
and without tiles.
Windows GUI is missing support.
X11 and Qt have been started, but may require further refinement.
rename sys/winnt to sys/windows
move vs (visual studio) folder out of win/win32 and into sys/windows
rename include/ntconf.h to include/windconf.h
rename winnt.c to windsys.c
place visual studio projects into individual subfolders.
This will hopefully resolve GitHub issue #484 as well.
I did my best to exempt some of the bigger aligned blocks from the reformatting
using the /* clang-format off */ and /* clang-format on */ tags. Probably some
that shouldn't have been formatted were anyway; if you encounter them, please
fix.
The clang-format tags were left in on the basis that it's much easier to prune
those out later than to put them back in, and it means that, modulo my custom
version of clang-format, I should be able to run clang-format on the source tree
again without changing anything, now that Pat has fixed the VA_DECL issues.
Add a man page for makedefs so mdgrep is documented better.
Add missing INSURANCE to mdgrep.h. (yes, LIFE leaks in as well)
Add makefile bits to build makedefs.txt.
Pass dungeon.def through mdgrep internally to makedefs - this will make
it possible to commit the LIFE patch and have config.h actually turn it
all the way off (by skipping bigrm-6).
This code (except for some of the argument parsing changes) is not used yet.
mdgrep.pl generates mdgrep.h; like the lex and yacc files we ship mdgrep.h
pre-generated; there is no need for perl on end-user/end-compiler systems.
(In fact mdgrep.h is so simple mdgrep.pl is probably overkill.)
mdgrep.h creates an array reflecting the compiler options in effect
The changes to makedefs break the Mac OS9 compile; if necessary the fix is
simple and documented (but I think that port is permanently dead).
With that port out of the way, makedefs can be allowed to take real options;
none of the current options have been changed. Instead, a second sub-main
routine has been added to handle options starting with two hyphens and all
the new options start with two hyphens:
--input specifies the input file (- is stdin)
--output specifies the output file (- is stdout)
--grep causes the input file to be filtered into the output file
--grep-showvars dumps the info from the array in mdgrep.h
--grep-trace turns on tracing of the grep filtering
Docs for the filtering language are in the source.
