Finally got around to installing OpenBSD (rev 3.3) in a vmware partition.
Found that several #if BSD's were inappropriate for modern BSD's. Haven't
installed FreeBSD or NetBSD, but based on reading their man pages,
these changes are needed there too. Mostly due to POSIX time() signature.
Switch the default Linux build behavior to use random instead of lrand48,
since lrand48 exhibits some obviously non-random behavior. random() has
been in glibc for a long time. Even if no other changes are made to
nethack's random number generator, this will improve the Linux behavior.
Menu styles `partial' and `full' will let you remove any type of
item from the three weapon slots via the 'A' command, but `traditional'
and `combination' would only do that for the primary weapon slot. For
the alternate weapon and quiver slots, the item in question had to be
one which can normally be wielded or worn, otherwise when choosing the
object class letter you'd be told that it was "Not applicable." And
for wearable items, you needed to be really wearing one of that class
(besides the quivered one) or else you'd get "not wearing any amulet"
or similar.
These changes clean up build warnings and allow the resulting "NetHack"
Application icons to be dragged around freely in the Finder, as is expected
for Mac apps.
