Forwarded from the newsgroup: when a monster gets hit by wand or
spell of polymorph, any armor that fell off was protected from being
hit by that same zap, but a dropped weapon wasn't. Nor was the whole
dropped inventory in the case where the monster is killed by system
shock rather than transformed. Protect its entire inventory.
Provide more control over message handling for monsters' use
of equipment. This fixes the statue revival problem (inappropriate
feedback when monster puts on speed boots) mentioned in the earlier
"intrinsics of dead monsters" patch.
ohitmon was incorrectly using location visibility in a couple places where
monster visibility was more appropriate. I'm still not sure about the
canspotmon check for destroy vs killed. Similar checks do no appear
elsewhere in the code. But at least now the 'destroyed' won't be shown
for a seen, living monster.
Make throwing things through iron bars by the player and
by monsters behave consistently with each other. Also prevent
stone-to-flesh'd boulders and wands from passing through.
based on a bugfix forwarded by <Someone>, check for closed doors and drop
the missle before it. I re-arranged the pre checks a bit so m_throw no
longer needs to trust the caller to ensure everything is OK beforehand.
Can't push boulders through iron bars; traps can't roll such through either;
likewise for objects thrown by monsters.
Thrown objects susceptible to breaking might do so when they hit iron bars.
Assorted monsters can pass through iron bars; ditto for polymorphed character.
Attempting to dig iron bars will wake nearby monsters instead of yielding
"you swing your pick-axe through thin air".
Autodig won't accept iron bars as candidate location.
If you stepped on an unknown rolling boulder trap, and that rolling boulder
hit a monster and killed it, you would be called a killer. This makes
playing a pacifism conduct game rather difficult.
- track boulders from unknown rolling boulder traps, and don't charge/credit
hero if they kill monsters. This is done by temporarily setting otrapped on
such boulders.
- boulders from known traps are still charged/credited to the hero
- fix a couple places in ohitmon where is_poisonable wasn't checked along
with opoisoned.
Make pushing a boulder onto a landmine share code with the trap case,
resulting in pits, waking sleepers, et al.
Don't leave a boulder suspended over the new pit, fill it.
Make sure any remaining boulder is placed on top of the pile.
If player sets off landmine, monsters killed are credited to/blamed on player.
